7. Anchor Text
The text on a clickable link is called the anchor text. Best SEO practices dictate using keywords in the anchor texts. The importance of anchor text is a good example of how apparently small things have a big impact on SEO.
8. Duplicate Content
Duplicate content is blocks of content appearing in more than one place on the same website. The dirty cousin of plagiarized content, duplicate content is a bad, bad thing for your search engine optimization. Google penalizes websites with duplicate content which is why you should steer clear.
9. Web Crawler
Other names for web crawler are bot and spider. Web crawlers are computer programs created by Google and other search engines that search for new pages and link on the internet. Fresh content on your website is a good way to invite crawlers to visit your site and get it indexed.
10. Web Indexing
Also called internet indexing, web indexing is basically getting your website to be ‘seen’ by Google, so it can show up on SERPs when people search for the keywords your site targets.
